Repeal The Taxes! AFP Union County Meeting July 20!

Hi all: Our meeting on Monday, July 20th at 7:00am at the Flying J is a VERY IMPORTANT meeting. We need to let the people have a say in our taxes. These new taxes are hurting our local businesses as well as other small business across our State. You can help!! Please make your best effort to come on Monday. I am sending you the message that was sent to me from our State Director as I did not know how many of you might have received it.

Hope to see you on Monday,

Gary & Carol Tate
AFP Co-Chairs
AFP Oregon

The 2009 Legislature may go down in history as having done the most damage to Oregon’s economy – and done it intentionally. With over $2 billion in tax and fee increases, government spending continues to rocket upward while Oregonians, working or not, get to pay higher taxes and fees on gasoline, health care, insurance, income, car titles, and on and on and on.

AFP Chapter Meetings in July will focus on our effort to repeal the Legislature’s tax increases. We will begin training our volunteers for a massive grassroots effort to collect enough signatures to give voters the final say. Please attend this important meeting and learn:

1. Why the tax increases are unnecessary
2. The plan to gather the 75,000 signatures we need
3. How to successfully work as a signature gathering volunteer

Date: Monday, July 20, 2009
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 am
Place: Flying J Banquet Room, I-84, exit 265, LA GRANDE
Cost: Free (a no-host breakfast is available)
RSVP: [email protected]

If you have not been attending AFP meetings, now is the time to get involved! The future of our state’s economy is at stake. Please plan on joining us, and bring a friend!

Yours In Freedom,

Jeff Kropf, State Director
AFP-Oregon
