AFP: Tax Repeal Starts With a Bang! – Aug 7 Newsletter

AFP Volunteers Hit the Streets in Tax Repeal Effort

In their first full week, AFP volunteers picked up almost 1000 signatures from Oregonians who want to see voters have the final say over the Legislature’s job killing tax increases!  With only ten of AFP’s 23  Chapters reporting, returns are expected to spike in coming weeks.  If you want to be involved, contact your local Chapter Leader or call 503-598-9800.

Single-Signer Petitions Now Available!

Circulating petitions sheets not your bag?  Now you can download a single-signer petition sheet from the AFP-Oregon website!  It takes about 30 seconds and lets us reach every active, registered voter in Oregon with access to the internet – at home, at the library, at a friend’s house. Forward this newsletter to everyone in your email contacts and urge them to sign the petitions and mail them back to AFP-Oregon!  Here’s a working link! 🙂

Please note that you may not print and distribute the single-signer petitions – the person who prints it must be the one who signs it according to Secretary of State regulations.  You also do not need to complete the “Sheet Number” in the bottom right-hand corner of the sheet.

“Stop The Taxes” Tour Rolls On

The first week of the “Stop the Taxes” Tour is finishing up tonight with stops in Redmond and Medford.  AFP State Director Jeff Kropf and Director of Grassroots Development Richard Burke met with hundreds of Oregonians in 16 towns and cities this week.  Each of those folks received training in how to correctly circulate a petition sheet.
