MRPAC: Month in Review

September 30, 2009

month in review

As members of the Free and Strong America PAC family, we want to make sure you’re up to date with Mitt Romney and PAC news, schedules, links, pictures and video, as well as ways you can help.

A Busy Trip to Washington Values Voter Summit

Governor Romney spent a few days in Washington and the schedule raised some money and some eyebrows in our nation’s capital. There was a “Sundaes with Mitt” ice cream fundraiser held for the PAC, a completely sold-out event with many familiar faces from the campaign.

In addition to raising money for the PAC, Governor Romney headlined fundraising events for Lt. Governor Bill Bolling, Gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell and Virginia House of Delegates candidate Barbara Comstock.

Romney also had the opportunity to give remarks to the 2009 Values Voter Summit, an annual event that attracts thousands of conservatives from across the country.  Text of the speech can be read here.

A Tough Stand on Missile Defense

When President Obama made the controversial decision to dismantle our missile defense capability in Europe, Governor Romney immediately issued a statement criticizing the move:

“Facing the growing threat from Iran’s nuclear ambition, the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency has worked long and hard to secure a site for the system to thwart a potential strike against our European allies. Developing the missile shield could also have important implications for US security. His decision is wrong in every way, despite his rationale.”

Grand Opening of Our Official PAC Store PACStore

In response to the overwhelming demand by supporters like you around the country, we are happy to announce the launch of our official PAC store.

You’ll find all of your favorite items there from over the past months, as well as some great new ones, including — just in time for the fall season — the official PAC fleece pullover. And it’s easier than ever for you to order multiple items and even to send gifts directly to your family and friends.

As always, every dollar you spend on these items counts as a contribution to the PAC, and will give Governor Romney the resources to continue advancing conservative causes and helping Republican candidates throughout the country.
