LATEST POLL HIGHLIGHTS WYDEN’S VULNERABILITY:

The latest poll of likely Oregon voters shows career politician Ron Wyden is currently below 50% support. Results of the June 17th poll put Wyden at 47% to Huffman’s 37%. This is remarkably low for a 30-year incumbent and emphasizes that voters are ready to retire Wyden in November!

Oregonians are tired of career politicians such as Sen. Wyden putting his own interests ahead of his constituents. His voting record on policies relating to jobs and the economy continue to prove that Wyden has lost touch with Oregon.

History is on Huffman’s Side:
PARELLELS TO ’08 SPELL TROUBLE FOR INCUMBENT:
There are remarkable similarities between our current race and the 2008 Senate race between Gordon Smith and Jeff Merkley. At this same point in that race, the future winner Merkley was trailing Smith 47% – 37% in polls by the same firm.
It is especially important to note that Jeff Merkley had spent a small fortune by that time just to get within 9 points. In contrast, Jim Huffman has moved up to within 10 points in the same time frame with little spending at all.
