Sherriff Boyd Rasmussen stopped by our shop and said he is going to have a meeting concerning the recent GUN CONTROL measures being proposed by Barack Obama. The Sheriff appears to be in our corner on this issue but he needs all the support we can give him so pass this info on to everyone you know in Union County. The meeting will tentatively be on next Tuesday January 29 at the Armory in LaGrande at 6 or 7 pm. We will get an update from the Sheriff as soon as the Armory is reserved and we will forward it to everyone. There will be a notice in the Nickel and also in Wednesdays Observer with the meeting date and time, but we wanted to give everyone a heads-up on what’s going on so we can all make plans ahead of time to attend.
This meeting’s purpose is to get input from the citizens of Union County and for Sheriff Rasmussen to state his views on GUN CONTROL. The media will be in attendance and so will some who want to show their blind allegiance to Barack Obama. The politicians and media feel if the US citizens sit back and do nothing, they can orchestrate another gun confiscation similar to what happened in Australia a few years ago, but THIS IS NOT AUSRALIA AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO LET THIS HAPPEN HERE!
If we all really believe in the US Constitution and our “Bill of Rights”, it’s time to let our voices be heard. The audience will be allowed to state their opinions so let’s all do our homework and polish up on the illegality of what Barack Obama is trying to do, whether it’s by an Executive Action, or by his signing a United Nations Law that bypasses Congress and takes precedence over the US Constitution .
Check out Linn County’s Sheriff Mueller’s letter to Joe Biden and let’s ask that Sheriff Rasmussen do likewise and refuse to enforce illegal laws or allow anyone else to enforce illegal laws in Union County. The FBI Crime statistics show that for the last 15 years, violent crimes with guns have been going down, not up, and there’s absolutely no need for any proposed Emergency Action to register or confiscate small arms from citizens. There’s a legal way to amend the Constitution and if Obama feels the 2cnd Amendment should be changed, he can follow the legal procedures that our forefathers clearly spelled out, and let the states vote on it.
The rights spelled out in our “Bill of Rights” were granted us from God, not from Barack Obama and the hoard of politicians, who for some reason, appear to be worried about the fact that honest US citizens own guns. The birthrights stated in our Constitution were passed on to each of us when we were born and we can do no less than to defend and pass those birthrights on to those born here after us.
