We Doubled Our Efforts Greg Walden Hour Volunteers

 Hello Team Walden!

We have had another productive week at the Greg Walden for Congress campaign. Many more of you have logged onto the Greg Walden Hour program and identified your friends and family.  THANK YOU!

To date, you all have collectively identified 2098 voters. Exactly 1049 are likely voters and 1049 are lower propensity. This means that half of the people you are identifying would not be likely to vote without your work!

Pat Anderes of Bend identified 100 family and friends in one afternoon, despite having a new puppy. “Lucy is cute but she gets into everything,” Pat teased. Pat has 5 children and 13 grandchildren, including 16 and 14 year olds racing on Mount Bachelor this weekend.

Pat is volunteering her time for the Greg Walden Hour because she is a long-time supporter of Greg Walden’s strong leadership in Oregon and the nation.

“Greg Walden does so much for the timber industry,” Pat said. “He is a great asset and we need to keep him.”

Here are the volunteer leaders so far:

Please keep one of our incredible volunteers, Jan Kerns of Baker City and her husband Tim, in your prayers. Jan suffered a massive heart attack last Sunday and is recovering in the hospital. Get well soon Jan!

Below is a map that shows where the voters who you have identified live. The darker the color, the more dense the cluster of voters is.  As you can see, we have identified supporters in all areas of the Second Congressional district though our simple program.

Our campaign to re-elect Greg Walden is moving along nicely. In addition to your volunteer work with our Greg Walden Hour Program, it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a few moments to send a letter to the editor to your local newspaper talking about what Greg Walden means to you and why you believe he should be re-elected. Some of the things you might mention could be how Greg Walden has been leading the fight to investigate the scandal-plagued Cover Oregon program. You might mention how Greg Walden is the strongest advocate in Congress from Oregon for our farmers and ranchers and worked hard to get the Farm Bill passed to ensure much needed stability for the industry. Greg’s opponent opposed the Farm Bill. If you wish, your letter could be somewhat broad where you simply highlight what Greg Walden means to you and how he has been working each day to make Southern and Eastern Oregon a better place to live, work and raise a family.

You can also survey friends and family; ask who they support for Congress in the May 20 Republican primary. Then click on the survey button next to their name and record the answer.

Greg Walden Hour Friends and Family: Take a look at Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Merrill, Bend, Redmond, Madras, Sunriver, Baker City, Summerville, La Grande, The Dalles and Hood River. The orange indicates Friends and Family identified so far. The darker and broader the color, the more dense the population of voters you have identified. Let’s expand those orange dots!
